• Technical project teaching students the fundamentals of machine learning specifically deep learning. Students will learn the fundamental concepts of deep learning through weekly seminars and collaborative notebooks. Students will also get experience through deep learning projects using industry standard tools such as: Numpy, Matplotlib, Pandas and PyTorch.
• SOLES Racing
• Technical project teaching students how to design, build, and test a hydrogen powered RC car. Students will learn how to design and manufacture parts using CAD softwares, 3D printers, CNC machines, and carbon fiber. Students will learn how to handle hydrogen fuel cells and learn how hydrogen can be a renewable fuel for sustainable transportation. Students will have to take the car through several iterative design and test phases to verify safety and performance metrics.
• SOLES Web Dev
• Technical project teaching students website development principles. Students go through the entire process, from UI/UX designing, coding collaboratively, and pushing changes to live website https://uclasoles.org/. Students get fullstack experience with React JS for front-end, Firebase / MySQL for back-end, and Git for code collaboration. Students learn how to efficiently develop in an agile team and implement features of their interests.
