Engineering Welcome Day 2023
About
Engineering Welcome Day will take place on September 27 (Wednesday of Week 0) from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM in the Court of Sciences.
Engineering Welcome Day, hosted by the Engineering Society at UCLA, is an event welcoming all the incoming freshmen and transfer students of the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering & Applied Science.
Join us to hear from our Deans on how to make the most of your experience as a Bruin Engineer and learn from students who we are at UCLA Engineering! Participants will learn important information about Fall Quarter events and opportunities in the School and meet fellow engineering students and their MentorSEAS Peer Mentor for an exclusive Scavenger Hunt of South Campus. EWD will conclude with an Engineering Exploration Fair for the chance to learn all about our amazing engineering student organizations and their Fall Quarter activities and a MentorSEAS Scavenger Hunt to help students get familiar with common engineering spots.

FAQ
Am I in a MentorSEAS Family?
You should receive an email from MentorSEAS in the coming days after they have placed you in a MentorSEAS family. Please check this email before the event begins so that we can ensure the transition to the scavenger hunt is smooth. If on the day of the event you are not sure what mentor group you are in, simply show up to the event and the campus organizers from ESUC and MentorSEAS will take care of the situation promptly.
When will the mentor groups be walking together?
The mentor groups will meet up after the UCLA Dean's Welcome near Bomb Shelter, next to the Court of Sciences. Mentor groups will walk together throughout the scavenger hunt. When the Engineering Exploration Fair begins at the Court of Sciences after the scavenger hunt, you are free to explore clubs with your group or alone. This will be a chance to meet fellow Bruin Engineers and tour the campus before you head to your first day of classes!
